Bringing Ugly Back!

The one thing the NBA does very well is market it's
teams. The NBA has created a market for something
that no one really knew there was a market for, The
throwback jerseys. Throwbacks are a great, don't get
me wrong, when Gold State wears "The City" Uniforms
they look awesome and everyone wants one. I jumped on
throwback bandwagon when Jordan came out of
retirement to play for Washington, I rushed out and
bought a Bullets hat that had the number 23
embroidered on it. I thought it was the coolest thing
ever. I love the throwbacks, they celebrate the
history of the league. The only thing I don't like
about throwbacks are that they only celebrate the
cool looking jerseys from the past. I think the
league should embrace all of its past and have the
horrifically ugly jerseys as throwbacks.
I do think there is a market for the ugly throwbacks. That market is the guys that like to get drunk and watch basketball, or go to the games to have a good time. These are the guys that would purchase an ugly throwback, that marketing mistake, they would embrace the ugly throwback, and they would make it cool or at least think they were cool for wearing them, a nice buzz can make you do alot of things. Drunken fans for every team would love to own a piece of their team's history, they would should show their support for their team by wearing an ugly throwback to a game, or to their local sports bar. These are the people that would help bring ugly back.
When looking back at the ugly throwbacks there are two division, pre-1990 and post-1990. all the post-1990 have a common theme throughout, this theme is large logos, that make absolutely no sense why they were used. I love all these uniforms if I had a few thousand dollars to spend I would scour ebay for all these jerseys, and I would wear them proudly, they would say I am a true fan of the NBA lets take a look shall we.
I love the image of the hawk because the word Hawks on the front of the jersey didn't give the team away.
It is like a little league jersey, but its for the NBA, the only thing that is missing is some angry parents.
The horse reminds me of a knight in chess, Knight to E2, Checkmate!
I think the stars are classy, patriotic but why are they on opposites sides for the shorts and the jersey?
My seventh grade science teacher is the one who came up with the mascot for Toronto, thank God he didn't create the jersey.
I like how the Grizzly on the short can palm the basketball and it looks like he as an opposable thumb.
Are stripes slimming, or was this before Charles gained a bunch of weight and could barely outrun an old man?
Classic use of a basketball on a jersey also Hawks and Rockets for other prime examples.
Another use of poor colors but they use a a beautiful mountain scene in the background.
My official statement is no comment.
